I have been trying very hard to come up with UI designs for the drill screen that were at the same time not too boring, and still fully usable. Something that people wouldn’t get sick of staring at, even after hours of playing KanjiBox…
And it’s tough. Which is why 0.5.0 was released with a boring white-background design.
For 0.6.0, though, I would like to try and make things a little more interesting. Below are a couple directions I have been exploring: what do you think?
Personally, I am rather partial to the blue one (perhaps with some adjustment to take it down just a notch), even though it is one of the more strident one…

PS: if you liked the old white background just fine: worry not, as I have already decided there will be an option to disable the new background in the settings.
